Background:

Abdullah Jama High Secondary School is dedicated to providing high-quality education to students in the Damala-Hagare Sanaag region. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Physics and Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team and contribute to our mission of fostering academic excellence and holistic development in our students.

Responsibilities:

§  Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Physics and Mathematics to high secondary school students, ensuring alignment with the school curriculum and educational standards.

§  Lesson Planning: Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating innovative teaching methods and educational technologies.

§  Assessment: Design, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

§  Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active learning.

§  Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, such as sports, knowledge competitions, and other school events.

§  Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and subject-specific knowledge.

§  Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, address concerns, and foster a collaborative approach to education.

§  Administrative Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the school administration, including attending staff meetings, participating in school committees, and contributing to school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

v  Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

v  Experience: At least 2-3 years of teaching experience in Physics and Mathematics at the high secondary school level.

v  Certification: Teaching certification or license is preferred.

§  Strong knowledge of Physics and Mathematics subject matter.
