Introduction:

Abdulahi Jama Secondary School is dedicated to providing quality education to its students in Damala-Hagare, Sanaag. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Biology and Chemistry Teacher to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an educator who is committed to nurturing young minds and contributing to the academic excellence of our school.

Responsibilities:

v  Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons in Biology and Chemistry that cater to the diverse needs of students.

v  Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that align with the school’s educational standards and goals.

v  Assessment and Feedback: Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and administration.

v  Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment in the classroom conducive to students’ academic and personal growth.

v  Extracurricular Activities: Actively participate in and contribute to school events, clubs, and extracurricular activities that enhance students’ overall learning experience.

v  Professional Development:Stay updated with advancements in the fields of Biology and Chemistry, and participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices.

Qualifications:

§  Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

§   Teaching certification/license.

§   Proven experience as a Biology and/or Chemistry teacher with a successful track record of improving student achievement.

§  Strong knowledge of current educational trends, techniques, and principles.

§   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

§  Strong knowledge of Biology and Chemistry subject matter.

§  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

§  Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

§  Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.

§   Strong organizational and time management skills.
